2011-05-10 A MEGA FIGHT ON THE WAY TO UGANDA |
We ‘re working on a mega fight to take place in Kampala, Uganda and this will be a major event consisting of fighters from different parts of the world. We are concluding negotiations with other stakeholders to materialize the event.
Mudde Ntambi will be among the fighters on this event, defending his UBO World super flyweight title.
“I will be joining the promoter at our Stockholm offices to meet our sponsors to seal the promotion packages for the coming event and also to discuss future events both in Uganda and Sweden”, reveals Baltic Pro Box Manager Jackson Mugisha.
We will unveil the fightcard and date on a pressconference to launch the event in Kampala soon.

Ntambi won the the Universal Boxing Organization in a thrilling fight against Tanzanian champion Fadhili Majia last evening at Club Obbligato venue in Kampala.
Majia gave me the toughest fight ever in my career. Am happy that I have won. I dedicate this world championship to my fans, promoters and the government of this country, said a jubilant Ntambi after the bout.

Joey "Minnesota Ice" Abell will be taking on Alfred Cole in a 12 round fight at Hotel Africana, Kampala.Don Elbaum telephoned last week to spread a message: Boxing fans should no longer be depressed about the demise of Pacquiao-Mayweather. A new mega-fight is on the way to Uganda.
Elbaum is an adviser to Joey Abell; a 28-year-old heavyweight from Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Joey has a (somewhat padded) 25-and-4 record, with 24 of his victories coming by way of knockout.Elbaum swears that Abell is “the hardest punching heavyweight since John L. Sullivan.” He further proclaims, “When it comes to pure punching power, I’d rank Joey, Earnie Shavers, and Mike Tyson one-two-three in that order.”
US based Mohammad Kalyango, the African Assassin, will also be joining Ice fighting professionally for the first time in his homeland. He is the # 1 rated welterweight in Uganda. Baltic Pro Box's Sweden based Ugandan top guns Peter "Boyz Boyz" Semo, Abdu " Cobra" Tebazalwa, Hassan "hitman" SSaku and Wycliffe "Wicked" Muwanga will be featuring on the undercard together with the local super flyweight champion Mudde Ntambi.
The American based Swedish heavyweight star Attila Levin will be taking on former world champion Robert Daniels in a 12 rounds for the vacant World Boxing Foundation heavyweight title.This will be the biggest boxing event ever to take place in Uganda.The fight will be promoted throught the world and will be offered on PPV on gofightlive.tv and on other TV networks around the world. Flight, hotel & ticket packages will be available for all our worldwide boxing fans coming to Uganda.

EVANDER HOLYFIELD WINS THE WBF HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Evander Holyfield at 47-years old knocked out 41-year-old Frans Botha with 2:05 left in the eighth round Saturday night. There were only 3,127 people at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas and the majority of the people in attendance came to cheer on Evander Holyfield. The fight was earlier slated for Mandela National Stadium in Uganda promoted by Baltic Pro Box Promotions on feb.20 but shifted to Las Vegas
This was the first fight for Evander Holyfield since losing to Nikolay Valuev on Dec. 2008. |
